Dennis W. Guard DDS FAGD Dr. Dennis Guard is a native Marylander who grew up in Baltimore County. He is a graduate of Catonsville High School, where he excelled in art, history, and the sciences. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland’s accelerated Bachelor of Science program where he completed the four-year B.S. program in three years. After graduating from the University of Maryland at College Park, Dr. Guard attended the University of Maryland School of Dental Surgery, where he was a member of the Si Omega Dental Fraternity. After four years of dental school, Dr. Guard served in the Army as a Captain in the United States Army Dental Corp. After his military service, Dr. Guard joined a dental practice in Bethesda, MD. In the late 60s, Dr. Guard relocated to Annapolis, where he started his own general, family-oriented dental practice. Dr. Guard has participated in several CE courses at the prestigious Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida. He is a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and is a graduate of the Strupp Dental Continuing Education Courses. He is a member of the Annapolis Dental Study Club, and the Western Shore Dental Study Club, as well as the Implant Study Club of Annapolis. Dr. Guards’ interests include his family, the outdoors, art, running, following the U of M Terps.
